After studying cinema in Montpellier, Marie enrols in photography and multimedia at the University of Paris 8.
In 2006, as part of an exhibition at the Christiane Peugeot Cultural Centre, Marie produces a collection of photographs accompanied by a video in which she herself is in the frame, and registers her interest in performance, the genre of the portrait, femininity, its codes and meanings. Consistent with her previous problems and feeding on autobiographical elements, the artist pursues her work by questioning the notions of identity and cultural relations. Marie has expanded her collaboration with designers, artists, press agencies and advertising. Her personal work has recently been presented in collective exhibitions in France and elsewhere in Europe during festivals dedicated to emerging photography.
