Marie Delagnes was born in Aveyron, but studied applied arts then photography at Toulouse.
This dual training helped her explore juxtapositions and gateways as she developed a whimsical fantasy universe based on sensitivity, duality and poetry. Her exploration is reflected in her photographic work where femininity often emerges as the main theme, as a pivot around which different scenes form. The creation of the scenery, mixing different organic materials, is an integral part of her work and the way she approaches the image.
In April 2015, with backing from the municipality of Drancy and the regional council, the Conservatoire de Drancy adapted her photographic tale “Confidence d’une Ampoule Géante” on stage, combining music, dance and theatre. Delagnes produced the stage decor herself for the event.
She is a member of the Chut Libre collective and has also worked for the press. However, she is now firmly focused on developing her creativity in the world of fashion.
She was a finalist of the Bourse du Talent Mode 2015 prize, with her Bloom series.
She joined the Hans Lucas studio in October 2015.
