Modern photographic reinterpretation
My photographic reinterpretation of classical works of art represents a tribute to famous
painters such as Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Rubens and other admirables.
When remaking a painting, there is the possibility of creatively projecting new concepts,
new information that give new meaning to the scene and make us observe and extract a new discourse.
Each generation attributes new meanings to art and needs to retake the entire historical context to arrive at a coherent reading that understands the past in order to project a new present.
My photographic reinterpretation is then placed in this place of intense projection of ideas.
I used image editing techniques to give a new current meaning to how these paintings would be in today’s world, using only artistic photographic creativity.
