The Show Must Go On
As I write, almost a year after the announcement of the first confinement, on March 16, 2020 in France, children are playing police officers outside and shouting: “curfew attention”, words that resonate in our daily lives and that remind us of the fragility of our lives.
I wanted to revisit events, a sector particularly affected by the crisis, by bringing together images produced during company events.
I chose scenes showing behind the scenes: scenes “as is” denoting the rupture, the absence and the expectation, but also scenes showing a form of resistance and a desire for elsewhere.
These images seem to belong to an extended time. By breaking out of context, they reflect our relationship with the current health crisis and attempt to capture a time motivated by escape and hope.
