In his latest series, Marc Lagrange takes us into the private world of a hotel room filled with sensual, beautiful and lonely people. The atmosphere recalls the paintings of Edward Hopper. After its premier in the Netherlands, we’re proud to publish this beautiful set of pictures before they are exhibited in New York and the rest of the world.
Based in Antwerp, Lagrange has been exhibited in New York, Miami, Hong Kong, London, Brussels (a complete retrospective), Antwerp, Frankfurt, Cologne, Salzburg, Marbella, Grimaud and elsewhere. In 2013, his most recent book, Diamonds & Pearls, was published in 80 countries.
His photographs celebrate beauty, pleasure and sensuality. In his nudes and portraits, he creates luxurious, timeless, erotic and intimate environments, combining the glamor of Hollywood starlets with the mysteries of the great masters of painting. His work has been hailed by critics and collectors worldwide. Lagrange is considered one of the most significant photographers of the 21st century so far.
