In the series Summer Memories, it is mainly the notion of time that passes unrelentingly, that of the fragmented memory as explored by Marc Chatelard.
The photographer invites us to remember our summers, our journeys, our holidays by the sea. Beaches and vacationers are revealed by means of the blinding vision of the sun; as the first view after a deep sleep, where reality struggles to take shape. The characters transform themselves in sculptures, in colored forms, dazzling ghosts of light. They remain blurry, evanescent.
After having abandoned photography for over twenty years and having a parallel career in the audiovisual field, Marc Chatelard rediscovers photography and all the joy that it radiates. He lives and works in Paris.
