Inspired by the San Sebastián DFOTO International Contemporary
Photography Fair, Madridfoto was inaugurated 3 years ago. It has a
more centralist idea but boasts the same format: an audience of
private, corporate and institutional collectors. MADRIDFOTO 2011 (3rd edition) will take place from May 5th to 8th, 2011.
The fair will award artists and galleries in two categories:
sustainability and young photographers. Parallel discussions and
gatherings will be organized to allow curators, programmers, museum directors and other professionals to actively participate in the fair. In addition, a special programme for collectors will take place,
including activities, guided tours and social events, as well as VIP
space for meeting and exchanging ideas within the fair’s framework.
