CA2M, Sala Comunidad de Madrid-Alcalá 31, Sala Canal de Isabel II, and Sala de Arte Joven de la Comunidad de Madrid are contemporary art centers under the supervision of the La Consejería de Empleo, Turismo y Cultura de la Comunidad de Madrid (The Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Government of Madrid).
The programming of photography exhibitions at the Sala Alcalá 31 always features the recipient of the Annual Photography Prize for the Community of Madrid. It also strives to offer exhibitions of domestic and foreign photographers, through both solo and group shows.
The program at the Sala Canal de Isabel features strictly photography, in particular the work of Spanish and Madrid photographers.
The Sala de Arte Joven de la Comunidad de Madrid (Sala Avenida de América) exhibits the work of up-and-coming artists. Photography plays an important role here, because most of the artists age 35 and younger use photography as their principal creative medium.
The CA2M (Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo) opened in 2008. This art center focuses on the latest in contemporary art.
