LouiSimone Guirandou Gallery presents “Découvertes”, its summer exhibition dedicated to highlighting emerging artists on the international art scene.
The fourth edition of this exhibition, which bets on the young generation, brings together the worlds of 6 artists, 3 men and 3 women, on the walls of the gallery in Abidjan. Each deploys there, his/her singular sensitivity, his/her ontological perception of the world, of what binds individuals to their territory, their history and therefore to their identity.
They work photography, painting, drawing, assemblage. They come from Senegal, Ivory Coast, France and Nigeria… The diversity of the origins of the artists and the mediums they use seems emblematic of the richness of the contemporary creations that this new generation of artists proudly carries.
The six artists with varied universes and backgrounds offer us a snapshot of a part of the emerging art scene, its audacity and its ambitions.
With Aïssatou Ciss, Theophany Adoh, Aude Guirauden, Ibn Cheickh Sallah Diebkile, Wanger Ayu and Stéphane Cuxac.
