On show at the Hôtel Pont Royal in Paris, this exhibition by the French photographer Louise Skira brings together a group of gelatin silver photographic works in black and white on the world of painting and music.
Painting and photography, a father and his daughter. The father’s studio and a childhood place. A place where a view is formed and is opened onto the world of the work of painting, begun again each and every day. Louise Skira chooses photography, she captures, records, fixes, frames and continues shooting, always in analogue black and white, seeking to rediscover the emotion closest to her memory.. At the same time, practicing the cello orients her, little by little, towards the representation of music, she puts together still-lifes from old musical scores and sometimes some books are included … Perpétuo et Opus, a father and his daughter.
