In the past ten years, the Lianzhou Photo Festival has become a key event on the international photography scene. What the city was missing was a museum to match China’s ambition. Under the leadership of Duan Yuting (founder and director of Lianzhou Photo) and François Cheval (Director of the Musée Nicéphore Niépce), the mayors of Lianzhou and Chalon-sur Saône, Liu Zehe and Gilles Platret, respectively, signed a cooperation agreement at the opening of the 10th edition of the festival.
