This group of photographs were taken in the summer in 2009.
Beside the community I lived, there was another community named Beijing Yinyan Flashlight. I spent 20 yuan for a Yinyan flash attachment in an accessories sales outlet. So, I embraked on my photographic life.
I selected the location for shooting different groups of people, and comparing their states while facing such a sudden event. Finally, I selected three spots with totally different style-Xidan, CBD and Huilongguan in Beijing.
I believe that there were more extraordinary contents under an ordinary appearance, so I want to use a unique film devices to unmask the true directly. It is itself a kind of behavior. There were a kind of their sudden expression while facing my camera, rather than the strangers in the streets were exposed thoroughly in my shot with flash. However, all the expressions did not act for my shot, but the era.

Wu Cheng Huan’s Biography
Born in Liaoning State East Chemical plant shospital, 1983.
Graduated from art designing program of Liaoning Industrial University, 2005.
Was a full-time photographer, film developing technician and photo editor.
Presently for website editor, living in Beijing.
