The Magic Soil exhibition by Ethan Murrow at the Les filles du calvaire gallery is on display until November 25th and brings together a unique set of drawings and paintings by the artist. Ethan Murrow uses photography to create theatrical and wacky narratives that are then translated into large-scale graphite drawings. These very detailed drawings feature explorer characters with a sense of adventure, satire, pleasure and defeat. The absolute confidence and passion they display is meant to counter the perhaps questionable outcome of their efforts.
