Her name is Sophie Boisgallais, and she has a fantastic blog, Le blog de SoVeNa. The photographer Claude Guillaumin introduced me to it. Week and after week, Boisgallais shares her favorite pictures, rediscovering a forgotten past. And she asks for nothing in return. She does it for her own pleasure, and for the pleasure of her readers. The niece of the legendary 1970s clothing designer, Christiane Bailly, Boisgallais is naturally drawn towards glamor, fashion and splendor. Here at Le Journal, we wanted to honor Boisgallais by dedicating the day to her blog. It’s rare to find people that are so cultivated, passionate and selfless.
