SCAN is a photography festival held in the fall. It was founded in 2007 by the city of Tarragona. After the second edition in 2008 and the financial crisis, regional and national funding evaporated almost entirely, so the festival was turned into a biennial under the same direction of David Balsells and Chantal Grande.
