This second exhibition was selected in the KG+ category. “Who are We?” it includes three main categories of portraits which require active participation from visitors.
One for Two for One by Thierry Maindrault
The ensemble presented continues the photographic work on the psychological and biological decals in ancient couples. The photographs represent a reconstruction of chimeras in the lineages of imaginary representations from the dawn of time. These are of course authentic portraits.
Soul of Stones by Jun Sato
The stone speaks, it tells, transmits for centuries with a consistency only eroded by various corrosions. Sculpture does not just narrate, it accompanies and draws the observers. In these photographs, Jun Sato shows us these details, which take us beyond reading and logical explanations. If these thousand-year-old stones do not have a soul, it is obvious that they carry someone soul.
Duality by Alain Robert
It is in a very personalized style that Alain Robert graphically associates the relationships of dependencies, conflicts, obligations and educations which coexist in the personality of the same individual. All these “who am I?” » installed in behavioral memory come into dialogue in each of his self-mockery portraits.
These three series of portraits prove to be perfectly complementary in the nagging question of humanity: “Who are We? “.
