I am a 24 years old Danish photographer currently studying documentary photography at University of Wales, Newport where I also have my residents. My approach to photography is about a strong idea for the project in combination with use of the aesthetics appropriate, to tell the story in the best possible visual way.
I began to visit my local barbershop regularly to make pictures, and become friends with Symon the barber, and his young assistant Michael O’Brian. I become a part of the service, and the customers fascinated me. The working class Wales Mann came by to get a haircut before heading to town on a Friday or Saturday evening. These faces are the faces of the Newport youth and future.
