All the images are made in the timespan 1– 20 of April. The last 20 days of waiting before my baby daughter arrived in our lives. I love the waiting time. It is the most creative kind of time. It is a kind of time that calls for thought. You mind spin and thought carry you to distant shores. Recently I became a father. I found myself suspended in waiting time for half a year. I had high expectations but no idea about how it would really be. I felt I needed to express myself in images. So during the last month of the pregnancy, I started to photograph intensively. I photographed when I was out on walks. The landscape, the plants and the people I met. Slowly a new world appeared through my images, a world where feelings are emphasised. When looking at them, I have a notion of being on another planet. It is images illustrating presence, a dimension that has an impact on our bodies and senses as Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht describes in the book Production of Presence. Theses images are a venture into the future, and are in a sense a production of presence. – Johan Peter Jønsson
