Colors on display
The street and everyday scenes are my main sources of inspiration, I instinctively photograph them. I like to play with colors, superimpose or juxtapose a priori elements with no apparent links, create another reading of the event. In this series I composed with the advertising posters that can be seen on the walls, bus shelters, storefronts and store windows. I do not use them as advertising media but as decorative colored elements taking care not to show the brand name. All the work is done at the shooting, images must be thought of when composing, because I never crop my photos, it is an ethical rule of street photography that I impose myself, a bit like a code of honor.I have made photos on this theme for severals years and I store them in a folder named Colors on the Poster. A few months ago I initiated a selection of images to later make a Portfolio.
And during this period of confinement, I decided to finalize this Portfolio and send it to you for possible publication. I felt the need for it because, outings in the city, urban photography full of life and colors, I miss this more and more, and that claustrophobia wins me …
