I took out my brand new NIKON COOL PIX and … took a picture.
It was on February 20, 2005 in far away COUILLY PONT AUX DAMES and that was my first picture.
The family had a good laugh.
– Your camera is so classy !
OK.
But why this memory ? And why did I continue ?
It is the story of a 70 year old man whose Doctor said :
– You must start walking Gramps !”
Yes, but this Gramps, with his wild past, didn’t move so well.
– What a drag !
– Then find something to do… buy yourself a camera
OK…..But to take pictures of what ? and walk where?
Abroad? Too expensive.
In Paris ? Too many obstacles. I chose the suburbs but not the main ones… the ones we never hear about…
The one whose architecture comes and goes over lifetimes…. The one whose façades, like flowers, decorate the empire of a boundless poetry…. That of untold happiness and sadness ……The other suburbs… That of little pavilions.
