The exhibition Monsieur Contraste and the Church of Photography features work by Jean-Christian Rostagni. The event was sponsored by the supermarket chain Whole Foods, the Loaf bakery and the Wine Authorities, which served a wine from the Drôme region of France.
It was held at the Carrack Modern Art in Durham, North Carolina. The exhibition is accompanied by a documentary by Rodrigo Dorfman. As proof of the triumph of this Franco-American event, the Ambassador of France, François Delattre purchased a photograph from the exhibition as a gift for the White House.
