Raymond accompanied his photos with this comment:
Thierry Frémaux, the curator of the exhibition asked me for a second exhibition for the beginning of next year.
This will go back over the new “editing” of the book coming out on New York in October (in Points pocket at the Seuil editions).
With the American Desert and New York, the 150 photos are a selection of photos that I have taken in the United States since 1980… nothing is new except the selection.
I am now working in color, and in 8X10, I have already made three trips within the United States (Texas and the Dakotas).
You ask me to talk about this job, I don’t wish to until I’m done.
I am stopped by the pandemic.
The Lyon exhibition at the Institut Lumière is to please Thierry, who is doing a cinema retrospective.
These are old photos that are about 40 years old…. That I like.
