Until March 26th, The International Center of Photography (ICP) honors Afro-American women on its façades. Onlookers will appreciate tributes to Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks, Misty Copeland or Michelle Obama on the transparent windows of the new-built ICP museum in Bowery, New York.
The project was conceived by amateur photographer Cristi Jones. Taking his daughter lola as a muse, the photographer captured her in poses recreating iconic situations, playing with the imagery and symbolism of the movement for equal rights in the United States.
Cristi Jones’s project is echoing the current exhibition at ICP, Perpetual Revolution.
