On October 29, the Boisgirard-Antonini firm will auction off a second sale of photographs from the L’Équipe photo collection. On D – 1000 of the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024, this sale will be devoted to the Olympic Games, with 200 selected photographs, covering a century of sport. The sale will be preceded by two exhibition days, on October 27 and 28, and fans will be able to bid on October 29 at the Hotel Drouot or online at www.drouot.com.
This second edition, “A Century of Olympic Games by the L’Équipe Photo Fund”, will consist of 190 photos and 10 contact sheets, in a single limited edition signed and stamped by L’Équipe in several print formats.
Photographers of L’Équipe captured the most significant moments in the history of sport with swimmer Johnny Weissmuller at the Paris Games in 1924, the high jump of Fosbury in Mexico City 1968, Nadia Comaneci’s perfect score in Montreal 1976 , the records of Carl Lewis and Usain Bolt and the exploits of the French team sportsmen in Tokyo in 2021.
