Through a call for entries that started last November 2012, Gomma Books Ltd invited photographers to submit their images for a new, collaborative photobook contest titled Su-ture. The aim was to create an uninterrupted visual journey made from exquisite imagery that navigates around the term ‘suture’. Photographers were encouraged to interpret the word ‘suture’ in its widest sense.
The final result will be a collectible photo book project of the highest quality.
Su-ture will be published in the UK and distributed worldwide through Gomma distribution agents and Amazon network. The photographers selected will enjoy an invaluable exposure and a worldwide recognition. The submissions for the Su-ture First Edition contest have been mainly about quality rather than quantity. This has allowed the editors to assemble an unparalleled collection of imagery.
