Galerie Goutal presents the exhibition of the Italian photographer Lenny Di Lorenzo, “SO HOME, a journey through a musician’s dream”.
For the first time and exclusively in Aix-en-Provence, the Italian composer Lenny Di Lorenzo exhibits his photographic work.
Heir to the great tradition of street photography, he reveals to us with “So Home” the secrets of the famous district of central London where he has lived and worked for several years.
For the Italian that he is, Soho is sulphurous, like the circles of hell described by Dante in the Divine Comedy.
Night bars, casinos, jazz clubs, peep shows… You can find everything that deep solitude could desire in these areas where darkness always prevails over light.
Day and night, Di Lorenzo is interested in the hidden face of this ignored world. Well beyond documentary photography, the author brings a personal touch tinged with musicality and cinematographic influences ranging from Federico Fellini to John Cassavetes.
His images are scattered, capturing noises, resonances, dissonances, false notes, murmurs. Silence.
