The Sense of a Place
A space becomes a place when we attribute meaning to it, when we perceive it as something to be understood, to be interpreted. This is a nomadic journey through the places of my existence. A journey through the seasons, steeped in flavours and smells, evocations and appearances.
The significant places of our existence are thought to be inhabited by spirits that express a strong sense of identity and recognisability.
These images are for me a complex and layered source of the time that has preceded me and act on my present as a constant presence and at the same time as a sign of a detachment that has occurred.
