My name is Freddie Bonfanti, I’m 28, Italian born, Australian residing photographer. I live in Sydney, New South Wales. Over a year ago i decided to get on the streets and document Australia’s diversity as honestly and as raw as i possibly could.
I managed to come across many individuals with a lot of stories to tell: Australia is a huge country which hasn’t found it real self yet: its insecurity and lack of identity was tangible and i could feel it through the people i photographed. It is particularly unsettling, yet refreshing to live in a new country and witness the shaping of an emerging new culture
I used a Mamiya 645 and Lubitel2 with 120 film
