Time For Change
It’s time for a change) How many times have we proposed ourselves, perhaps with the start of the new year, to make positive changes to our lives, and how many times, punctually, have we disregarded these good intentions? Well, that’s good. The opportunity to change is here, now, under our noses. The time has come to reckon with yourself. The time has come to change. Let’s talk less and listen more. Let’s not give up dinner with friends just because we’ve been working too hard. Let’s hug warmly, long, sincere hugs, heart to heart. Let’s not worry too much about the dust accumulated in the corners of our house and our life, just a gust of wind is enough to send it away. Let’s find time to enjoy our affections. Let’s not waste any chance and let’s not stack dreams in a forgotten drawer. Let’s go back to lying in the meadows, without worrying about staining our grass jeans inevitably. We no longer claim to be invincible, we are allowed to throw in the towel now and then. We learn to share responsibility: “a little bit to you… a little bit to me” Let’s not get lost behind screens and fake lives, created by doc to appear what we are not. We return to love the real, the concrete, the moment that lasts forever if preserved in our memory. Let’s no longer forget our feelings, hidden behind (in)destructible shields. Let’s learn to love what we are and what we have, to love the autumn wind that brings the storm as well as the summer sun that warms and tans our skins. When we return to our “normality”, let us remember that nothing will be normal anymore, but everything will have changed… Inexorably…
