The third portfolio from the Browse Fotofestival in Berlin was selected for the distinctive fact that it was taken with a Smartphone. After all, the important thing is to enjoy the resulting photos, rather than speculate on what technology was used to produce it. The images by Belgian photographer Bruno de Cock come from his own life, from the streets and scenes that he observed, taken at different times and with very little in common. This is how many people take pictures today, something rarely acknowledged in the press. Photography doesn’t always need a unifying theme. On the contrary, it absence grants the viewer the freedom to wander. Jonas Cuénin
