“Life is this, a sliver of light that ends in the night.” – Louis-Ferdinand Céline
Night is a time when everything seems to find a solution. It comes alive with protagonists that the day does not contemplate. It remains an amplifier of emotions. Solitudes. Dreams. Nightmares.
Night shrouds in darkness the imperfections that merciless daylight reveals. They are not the scars of the body. But of the soul. The very one that can be lost in sin and perdition. Sometimes it is pure poetry, the night. Or it is just a merry-go-round of encounters. Relationships. Sometimes, the night is a neon light of a party. It is pure joy. Night allows for trans-dressing. It helps new loves and conceals lovers. But also the thieves and the misdeeds. In darkness, we reveal ourselves for who we are, without fear of others’ judgment. Six photographers. Six visions that tell their stories of life — “a sliver of light that ends in the night.”
