Spanish photographer Fonta, based in London for over fifteen years, is presenting a solo exhibition in Madrid for the first time at flora&fauno.
The exhibition, titled “Capas” (“Layers” in english) showcases a decade-long exploration of architecture and urban spaces documented by the photographer.
“Capas” delves into how architectural spaces not only serve a physical function but also evoke profound emotions, connecting the past with the present.
Through his lens, Fonta invites viewers to uncover the sensations awakened by buildings and reflect on their history and legacy.
Each façade he documents stands as a testament to the passage of time, with every visual layer revealing changes and the evolution of urban spaces. Fonta uses photography to uncover the hidden stories behind every brick, crack, and shadow. The exhibition offers a meditation on architecture as a container of memories and emotions, encouraging viewers to discover the beauty in what often goes unnoticed.
