Farewell Göksin –by Michel Philippot

I am really sure of something Goksin we are going to miss you. There are many, many of us who came to see you and asked for something that had to do with the job of photography.

Most of the time we were young with limited experience when we had one. To offer to go on reportage was to take a lesson. Your sharp sense of news felt if there was an opportunity to go or not to.I think that you took into account the convictions and the feelings of your interlocutor.

It was 1976 rue de Berry in Paris you did not dampen my enthusiasm, you unambiguously encourage me. I will rather stop here, and simply express all my tenderness, the admiration I have for you.

Latter when I decided ta take desk job I came to the agency and you told me “no I like you, we will be mad at each other”. I am furious and very sad that you are no longer there to teach us to be human, that I cannot be with you .

A big good by full of respect and admirations for the great Turk.
Goksin we love you.
