The Galeries du Hérisson, a new traveling art gallery specialized in photography and street art, present the three winners of the international photography competition organized by the Herisson Collective: Tracey Derrick (South Africa), Massimiliano Pugliese (Italy) and Franco Sebastiaan (Belgium).
Derrick Tracey shares with frankness, coldness and sometimes with humor her career and her fight for life. An uncompromising look at the taboo of cancer, a simple and direct exposition far from the pathos, which confronts anguish, absurdity and hope.
Massimiliano Pugliese takes us into his imagination to better feed ours. Each of his shots is the suspended moment of a virtual scenario; the freeze-frame of a film that does not exist and which nevertheless draws our mind into a story that we build ourselves. His love and his inspiration of the cinema are felt directly by these artificial lights which make us believe in a sublimated reality.
Sebastiaan Franco takes us into an unknown universe, this of the travelers. He brings to this world an eye as much social and human as cinematographic. He captures deeply intimate moments of this community by adding the feat of a mastery of the light worthy of the finest plans of the cinema.
Opening on Tuesday April 12th, at 6 pm
