The pandemic put a stop to the inaugural edition of The Classic Photograph fair in London. The fair, which is not affiliated to the magazine, is organised by Daniella Dangoor and sponsored by Chiswick Auctions.
The fair will take place on Sunday June 12 in the elegant, historical Conway Hall in Bloomsbury, a short walk from the British Museum. It brings together an impressive list of dealers from the UK and the European Continent, including Robert Hershkowitz, James Hyman, Jane England, Linus Carr, Richard Meara, Serge Kakou and Bruno Tartarin, offering a wide range of images, from early paper negatives and daguerreotypes to travel and exploration, fashion, press photographs, and introducing contemporary art works using alternative processes.
Visitors will also be offered the chance to create their own artwork, a cyanotype photogram, the earliest camera-less photograph process.
