After fifteen years at Montparnasse since it opened in 2003, the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation inaugurates a new location dedicated to photography at the heart of the Marais neighborhood.
A linear of exhibitions, more than doubled, tripled in the near future, more flexible and at ground level with the street, the space designed by the architects of the Novo agency inscribes the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation in the cultural densification of the Marais, unparalleled in Europe, and allows it to increase the scope of its missions for a larger public. It improves the reception conditions of the public, schoolchildren, people with reduced mobility but also the conditions of conservation of the collections now gathered on a single site for an access adapted to researchers.
OPENING DATE MODIFIED: Opening to the public on November 6, 2018 instead of October 17, with an inaugural exhibition honoring Martine Franck.
