Created in 2010, Planches Contact, the Deauville Photography Festival, invites established and emerging photographers to take up creative residencies each year, to focus on the region and develop their projects in and about Normandy. The festival opened its call for applications for the 2024 edition.
Candidate selection:
Candidates are selected on the basis of a portfolio. A project brief, a portfolio of previous work and a C.V. make up the application file to be submitted to the Planches Contact jury.
The five selected photographers receive a €5,000 grant, dedicated to the realization and production of the series to be exhibited in autumn 2024. Travel and accommodation costs are covered by the festival.
At the end of the exhibitions, a selection of five images per photographer will join the collections of the Franciscaines and the City of Deauville.
Jury Prize and Tremplin hors les murs:
Meeting in Deauville, the Planches Contact Jury will award the Tremplin Jeunes Talents prize during the inaugural weekend, from October 25 to 27, 2024.
