The Planches Contact festival has announced the winner of the Audience Prize for the Tremplin Jeunes Talents, an initiative dedicated to highlighting the next generation of artists.
After the success of Cloé Harent, winner of the Jury Prize last October, the public was won over by the artistic vision of Nicola Fioravanti.
Her project, Normandy, Colors Only, is based on this idea: colour as a universal language, understandable without words.
In this series, Nicola Fioravanti places colour at the heart of his work, fusing matter and light to create a chromatic palette of Normandy.
Nicola Fioravanti, born in 1985, is an Italian photographer who lives and works in Paris. His work focuses mainly on street photography, reflecting an ongoing exploration of the potential of colour in urban environments. Rather than using colour simply as a means of representing reality, he makes it the defining element of his photography. Nicola Fioravanti has won awards in prestigious competitions such as the Sony World
Photography Awards, Canon Come and See, Le Prix de la Photographie de Paris (PX3), International Photography Awards, The Independent Photographer, Tokyo International Foto Awards, among others. His work has been exhibited in major venues such as Somerset House in London and the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich. His photographs have been published by Canon, Il Corriere della Sera, Die Welt, Die Zeit, Elle, El País, Forbes, Grazia, Marie Claire, PhotoVogue, La Repubblica and Vogue, among others.
