For the opening of its new spaces, the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation wished to pay homage to Martine Franck, by dedicating a retrospective to her.
Martine Franck claimed the celebration of life, a deep joy to humanity while fighting against exclusion with all the empathy she knew how to deploy. A committed photographer, Martine Franck became an activist for many of these causes that she actively photographed, a serious audacity for the young woman who had been taught not to cross the line.
The exhibition was designed by Agnès Sire, co-founder and artistic director of the Foundation.
