Kodawari means in Japanese « the love of detail » and is often used by artisans and cooks. In that sense, the beauty of a detail leads to simplicity and harmony.
Kodawari applies to my photographic approach : I often use macrophotography to create abstraction, and express my emotion for a harmony of colours, rythms and proportions. It is an impressionist and kinetic way to understand reality, when feeling the moment and emotions are more important than the eye.
As a photographer and as an ophthalmologist, vision is a tool, but also a space of research and creation.
The 44 original abstract photographs presented have not been retouched, cropped nor reworked.
