Little Big Galerie, Paris is already ten years old and presents this month an exhibition of two women photographers.
Sarah Carp, with part of the Lac Sensible series taken on the shores of Lake Geneva, and Géraldine Lay, with a selection of the series Ordinary Rifts and Impromptus.
The exhibition could be called “Sensitive Rifts”. There is of course a different sensitivity between the two photographers: one captures the moment, the other seeks, extends it… But their images have in common a mystery, a melancholy, a certain fragility. For Sarah as for Géraldine, the images are made instinctively, at the crossroads of reporting and directing. They tell stories while offering a space of freedom, even if the characters are photographed without their knowledge by Géraldine, and pose for Sarah.
Opening Reception : Thursday, March 28, 2018 from 6 pm to 10 pm
Exhibition associated with the Festival Circulations and the event “Parcours dixhuit” organized by Ségolène Brossette Galerie. Exhibition in partnership with the gallery Le Réverbère for Géraldine Lay.
