Photography Festival Call for applications: Festival Présence(s) Photographie 2019

The Festival Présence (s) Photographie 2019 will take place from 05 to 21 April 2019 in Montélimar and the surrounding cities.

Around a main exhibition, at the Espace Chabrillan Art Center, a dozen photographers are invited to exhibit their work in multiple locations in the city and its surroundings (exteriors, galleries, exhibition halls, …).

Several screenings are scheduled on the big screen. This is an opportunity for photographers to present their work to an audience of amateurs and professionals. A moment of exchange and sharing with big names in photography. During each session, the public is called upon to elect a slide show, the count of these votes designates the public’s prize.

Screening sessions are also held in the high schools Alain Borne de Montelimar and Xavier Mallet, Teil. On this occasion, high school students choose the price of high school students.

Call for applications

We are launching a call for applications, for a video presentation of photographs (slideshow), lasting between 1 and 4 minutes.

There is no imposed theme. Can participate all the artists at the origin of a photographic work whatever their status, their age and their nationality. The candidates will propose one or two projects maximum, but only one of them can be retained.

The winners of the Audience Award and the High School Students’ Prize will see their series, exhibited during the 2020 festival, with production being provided by Présence (s) photographie. 

The applications are to be sent before the 03 December 2018 at midnight.

Selection

Fifteen works will be selected.

The selected authors will be selected by e-mail during the month of February 2019 and posted on our website.

The selection committee is made up of photography professionals, artists and festival organizers. Their decision will be sovereign, without appeal and will not give rise to criticism or appreciation.
