For the tenth consecutive year, the Galerie de l’Europe presents Christophe Jacrot, with his latest series, “Below zero”.
He continues his exploration of extreme winters in Iceland with the series and the book “Snjór” (h’artpon, 2016), which have enjoyed great public and critical success. He invites us this time to a world tour in the blizzard, with images taken where the wind blows hard: from Siberia to Canada, through the Vercors or Japan.
By capturing the harsh beauty of snowstorms, Jacrot opens the doors to an imaginary halo of frost. A world of mysteries so vulnerable, at a time when our planet is warming up …
