A dialogue between rare images of the Russian space adventure that respond to the power of production of NASA. Different visual strategies are displayed here. Yet there is much in common, if only an infinite space where everyone wants to pioneer future worlds. From Sputnik, literally “The Traveling Companion”, to the Apollo mission, two rival universes are emerging whose photography is the privileged witness. Science, arts and communication, 50 years after the first steps of Armstrong on the moon, the horizon clears. The stupefaction installed once and for all by space travel crystallizes today in almost anachronistic prints. The lover of spatial and lunar images is no longer in search of nostalgia. Less than a simple answer to the question “where were you when the man walked on the moon? It’s about maintaining the permanence of the shock. The amazement forever, a draw within sight, this is what this collection of images gives to see.
