Selfies
The business centers and their skyscrapers in city centers, draped in curtain walls, remind me of a house of mirrors, a labyrinth of mirrors. These glass facades, made up of thousands of squares like pixels, remind me more exactly of screens. Those very ones omnipresent in our lives.
These skyscrapers, that I call “giants“, are most of the time the headquarters of banks or multinationals. What do these gigantic images that the giants broadcast give us to see, if not one of their own or the usurped sky?
I have a kind of intuition that there is an Illusion comique in the matter, that to make architecture of ones image and to call oneself “center” indicates a relation to the world, to go beyond architecture and to make world of ones image.
