Angers
In the heart of the gentle Angevine countryside, Angers blossoms along the River Maine, in a light that invites you to stroll. Its quays, silent witnesses to the passage of time, offer pleasant walks where history mingles with the present. Along the peaceful banks, the fishermen display their skills with a serenity that is typical of my region, peaceful and intimate. The atmosphere invites contemplation, like a tableau vivant where the reflections of the water magnify the beauty of the landscape.
The city’s gentleness, tranquillity and picturesque charm have inspired many writers and poets, such as Joachim du Bellay, who paid tribute to the beauty of the Loire Valley in his verses, and Honoré de Balzac, who captured the essence of the region in his descriptions. Angers, with its natural setting, its heritage, and the timelessness of its banks of the Maine, continues to charm those who venture there.
My photos try to capture those suspended moments when the city exudes gentleness and tranquillity, offering a new perspective with every step.
