Editions Obcd Visuel announce the publication of the monograph dedicated to Marc H. Peverelli, advertising photographer based in Lyon, and who is part of this generation of photographers approached in the 1970s by the Polaroid firm to seize the instant medium and to enter the artistic sphere.
Marc H. Peverelli has worked with all formats from Polapan 135 to the large 20×24″ chamber in Arles, or in Cannes, including the 4×5″, 8×10″ chambers and the Pack 100.
A book which traces the different emblematic series and in particular the invention of a technique which remained secret, in the manipulation of gelatin in the instant process launched by Edwin Herbert Land in 1943. Marc Peverelli surprised the technical teams of the firm in the eighties with his polaroids found on marbles or revealing relief in the image.
Taking up the presentation and numbering of the most beautiful publications of the Polaroid firm in the years 90-2000, under the direction of Barbara Hitchcock, this “Selection 6” succeeds the “Selections” 1 to 5 which revealed at the time the images which entered The International Polaroid Collection.
The work is prefaced by François Wybo, former director of professional photography at Polaroid France, and introduced by Robert Pujade, historian and critic of photography.
