Between two worlds
In the 1980s, my parents, worried about the political situation in Turkey, and to protect me from the growing chaos, decided it best to send me to study in France.
After years of architecture, my diploma in hand, I decided to stay, to make a career.
Easy integration and love for my host country did not overshadow the absence, uprooting and estrangement of my family, my friends. My steps and my heart guide me between 2 worlds.
At the mercy of solitary wanderings, I learn the cities that are a beautiful source of photographic inspiration, I walk the streets where all life is revealed through doors, windows, bridges and parks.
My gaze captures the reflections, the magic of the street and these souls who come and go in front of my lens without seeing me.
All the fleeting moments where the real mingles with the unreal.
My voluntary exile is also a treasure.
I am always between my 2 worlds in which I managed to tame fears, sorrows, joys thanks to photography which is a magnificent transmitter of emotions.
