Coney Island
Coney Island is where New Yorkers go to cool off in the summer. It’s always cooler there than in the city, and it’s at the end of 4 subway lines, so it’s easy to get to. There’s the beach, of course, but there’s also the boardwalk, which has its own vibe, a vibe that includes being on display and dancing. I’ve been going there as often as I can since I moved to Brooklyn in 2001, and I almost always find something interesting to photograph no matter the time of year. But summer, ah, summer!
