Discowork presents Nouvelles Amours, an exhibition by Julie De Sousa.
At the invitation of Meryl Benitah, exhibition curator Joanna Cohen invites you to discover an immodest visual exploration.
Flip through a diary of evanescent images captured with sensitivity and authenticity. The intimacy of Julie De Sousa is punctuated by her personal life, interspersed with documentary photographs. Through black and white, she reveals raw emotions and sublimates the banality of the intimate.
The camera is here a means of exploration and of personal introspection, allowing the artist to capture the very essence of human relationships. It is an introspective journey where each image becomes a mirror of our own emotional experience. Each image reveals a piece of truth, a fleeting moment frozen in time, inviting viewers to contemplate the beauty and complexity of the world around them.
This series of photographs also accompanies the poetic pen of Juliette Brevilliero, in their book Nouvelles Amours, published by Alopex.
